What the calculator checks
- Voltage-window fit: full-charge voltage against the ~100V ceiling, and the pack’s usable range against the M10’s 64V (or 60V) minimum.
- Usable vs rated capacity: how much of the pack’s rated kWh actually rides, based on cell chemistry discharge curves and voltage sag at your power draw.
- Stranded energy: the capacity trapped below the motor’s minimum voltage, the trap behind most “cheap 72V” golf-cart packs.
- Runtime and typical-day range: at full power, cruise, and troll, plus a blended day profile based on a light tender hull.
How to use it
- Pick a preset (MB-6, 24S LiFePO4, 22S LiFePO4, 20S LiFePO4) or choose Custom.
- Enter your pack’s series count and capacity in Ah or kWh.
- Set your power draw (the M10 is limited to 10kW input, about 150A).
- Read the verdict, usable energy, runtime, and the adjusted-minimum recommendation.
Estimates only. Actual results depend on your specific pack, BMS configuration, boat, and conditions, and the battery system remains the builder’s responsibility. Read the full battery guide for the engineering behind these numbers, or contact us before you buy cells.
